Neural interfaces and robotic hands
Neuro-Hand
A low-cost prosthetic hand with fingertip sensing and a camera-based grasp classifier.
Neuro-Hand is a low-cost prosthetic hand project. It combines fingertip pressure sensing with a camera-based grasp classifier, so the hand can tell which kind of grasp is needed.
The classifier runs on a small embedded board in the hand itself, which keeps the system cheap and compact.
What it does
- Fingertip pressure sensing
- Camera-based recognition of tripod, power and pinch grasps
- Runs on a small embedded board
